Therapy services provided by the CAC are a valuable asset and resource for abused and at-risk children in DeKalb County. Individual therapy sessions help the child to process the abuse or traumatic event , provide them with techniques to cope with the many corresponding emotions that can occur including grief, anxiety, fear, anger. There is no limit to the number of sessions and therapy is available as long as the need exists.
Through a long time partnership with DeKalb County and Fort Payne City Schools, CAC Therapists provide therapy for students on site at each school on a weekly basis.
All services provided by the Children’s Advocacy Center are free of charge.
