Beth Knicely
Forensic Interviewer
Alleged victims of sexual abuse and severe physical abuse are referred to the CAC by the Department of Human Resources and Law Enforcement when reports are made to them. The child is seen by a specially trained interviewer in order to gather specific details of the abuse in a non-threatening, forensically sound manner. The interview is conducted in a child friendly room while social workers and investigators observe via closed circuit television.
From January 1993 through September 30, 2022, 4,650 Forensic Interviews have been conducted at the Children’s Advocacy Center. This means 4,650 children between the ages of 2 and 18 sat in our interview room and talked to the Forensic Interviewer about abuse allegations.
Child abuse is real. We listen.
