Children who are abused need to work through their emotional pain and trauma.  To help them with the healing process, the DeKalb County CAC provides individual counseling services for young victims and support group meetings for their non-offending parents.

During 2009 there were 757 session of therapy for abuse victims totaling 185 children and 3,295 sessions with 718 students in the school based therapy.

This program is partially funded by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
